Another trip to survey place for pre-wedding photos. Departure from 08:00 in the morning, then breakfast at Babi Guling Bima Kroda, after that we go to Playen which before we arrive to Wonosari, turn left. Our first destination is Air Terjun Sri Gethuk or Sri Gethuk Waterfall.

It's a long way to go there. We entering Bleberan Village which cost IDR 2.000/pax. Then just follow the instruction to go to the waterfall.

Arrive at the entrance, we still need to ride car to the parking lot. It tooks almost 20 minutes from the entrance. Car parking fee is IDR 5.000/car.

Then we still need to walk to the waterfall area. In the middle of the path, there's tree-section. If you want to ride boat, then turn left, but if you just want to enjoy the waterfall, turn right. When we came, the river is overflow, so the boat didn't operated. Becareful, because of the overflow, the path is slippery.

It's really crowded maybe because it's Sunday. Too many people in there, I even can't see the waterfall.

Goa Cemara Beach > Yogyakarta ~ Special District of Yogyakarta ~ Indonesia

Sunday, me and my brother and his girlfriend, go to location survey. This time, our destination is Goa Cemara Beach, near Depok / Parangtritis / Samas / Kuwaru Beach, Yogyakarta.

We eat lunch at Babi Guling Bima Kroda. Then, continue the journey to the beach. It took less then 1 hour from Yogyakarta.

The beach is nice, clean, and alreay well-known of tourists. Not much to do in there because we can't swim. But for couple, this is the good place to dating.

Pay for the entrance, Rp 2.750/person. This is only entrance to entering beach area. If you bring car, there's a car park fee for Rp 10.000.

After we park our car, we can see the tree view.

Don't forget to take some picture in here. After that, you can walk along the beach. The beach is common, nothing special in here. For me, the trees is the speciality from this beach.

Not far from the beach, there's a light house. You can walk to there but it's quiet far, maybe 1km more. So we decided to rode car to go there. So after satisfied play in the beach and took some picture, we back to the car park.

It's Korean Traditional Village. You may consider it interesting to find this area standing between the tall buildings. This village has five restored traditional Korean houses and a pavilion, a pond and a time capsule, which make it a perfect spot to take a walk.

When you enter the front gate, you will see the vast valley and the Chunugak building to the left of the pond. Along with the pond, it is a splendid place where performances are held.

cute kids, with hanbok
I saw an Ahjussi making Sandals. It's interesting.

He even play with birds, he looks so calm.

On the side you will see five traditional houses. These houses were rebuilt after the traditional houses of Joseon Dynasty and belong to those of various social classes, ranking from peasants to the king. The furniture in the house is situated to help guests understand the daily life of the past, and the clean, traditional houses and their antique items provide a great photo op.

If you would like to check out some souvenirs, stop by the traditional craftwork exhibit where you can buy small dishes and other items. You can also have traditional tea and refreshments.

On the grounds, there are traditional games you may try such as 'neolttwigi' (sea-saw jumping), 'tuho'(arrow throwing) and 'yunnori' (traditional game of throwing wooden yut sticks).

Don't forget to go see the traditional marriage ceremony! During the weekends, traditional marriages are shown at Bak Yeong Hyo's Residence. The traditional marriage ceremony is an interesting event for both Koreans and foreigners and many gather to watch. During the winter season (November to February), there are not as many wedding ceremonies as held in the spring and fall. Weddings are typically held around noon or 1 p.m. and visitors can take pictures with the husband and wife wearing traditional wedding costumes. There is also a time capsule commemorating Seoul’s 600 Year Anniversary that was buried in 1994 and is scheduled to be reopened four hundred years later in 2394. Insa-dong (인사동), located in the heart of the city, is an important place where old but precious and traditional goods are on display. There is one main road in Insa-dong with alleys on each side. Within these alleys are galleries, traditional restaurants, traditional teahouses, and cafes.

The galleries are the heartbeat of Insa-dong. There are about 100 galleries in the area and you can see every example of traditional Korean fine art from paintings to sculptures. The most famous galleries are Hakgojae Gallery, which functions as the center of folk art, Gana Art Gallery, which promotes many promising artists, and Gana Art Center.

The teahouses and restaurants are the perfect complement to the galleries. At first they might be hard to find, but if you take the time to stroll around the twisting alleyways, the window shopping in itself can be very entertaining. The shops in Insa-dong are very popular among all age groups, because each one is unique.

Every Saturday from 14:00 – 22:00 and Sunday from 10:00 – 22:00, some streets are blocked off from traffic and it becomes a cultural space. Stores set up booths outside and others set up shops (Korean candy merchants and fortune tellers.) There are traditional performances and exhibits as well. Insa-dong is especially popular with foreign tourists. This is where they can experience and see traditional Korean culture firsthand, and also purchase pieces of fine art. On the street you can eat Korean taffy and traditional pajeon (Korean pancake), and see many foreigners lost in all the joyous festivities of the street.

view near Petite France

After travelling 10 km along the lakeside road from Cheongpyeong Dam, in the direction of Namiseom Island, you will come across a cluster of white, exotic buildings on the left-hand hillside. From its outward appearance, it would appear to be a village that belongs on the Mediterranean coast or in a pastoral area of the Piedmont Alps. This is Petite France, a French cultural village set in the Korean countryside! Petite France serves as both a French cultural village and a youth training facility (Goseong Youth Training Center), and consists of 16 French-style buildings where visitors can lodge and experience French food, clothing, and household culture.

The concept of Petite France encapsulates ‘flowers, stars, and the Little Prince.’ The village contains a memorial hall dedicated to Saint-Exupery, the author of the celebrated French novel, Le Petit Prince (1943) and as such it is called the Little Prince theme park. It also has a gallery displaying sculptures and paintings of le coq gaulois (the Gallic rooster), the national symbol of France; Orgel House where a 200-year-old music box plays a sweet melody; a shop that sells herbal and aromatic products; a souvenir shop; and many other locales where you can experience French culture. The village can accommodate up to 200 visitors with 34 guest rooms that hold four to ten people each.
Enjoy the marionette experience and hear percussion instruments from around the world, and also enjoy soap bubble experience.

I thought that the place is large, but it's only a small. Not until 1 hour, you have already walk around it. Except if you visit every house. But not all the house is open. And there's a guesthouse in there, if you want to stay here. If you love France Classics things, then you will love this place.

After walk around, we back to the subway by shuttle bus. This time, we go to Cheongpyeong Station because it's the nearest from Petite France. We didn't get a seat, so we standing, and it's a wrong choice. There's so many turn on the way, and it's hard to keep steady inside the bus. One of my friend got sick.
