Mesastila Peak's Challenge, Grabag > Central Java - Indonesia

There's an event at Mesastila Resort and Spa, it's called Mesastila Peak's Challenge. Those who love hiking, running, and tracking can join this event. This event held every year. Just follow the website for further information.

Mesastila Resort and Spa located at Losari Village, Grabag, Magelang Regency. They famous of it's coffee plantation. The resort itself is beautiful, for those who like to escape from routine, this place could be choice of destination.

I come here, to see the Mesastila Peak's Challenge. Some of my friends, join the event. And also to walk around.

The Mesastila Peak's Challenge is international event. So there's so many people from abroad join.

Hash :: Curug Semali > Magelang ~ Central Java ~ Indonesia

Curug is waterfall but smaller. Curug Semali, located at Semali Area, a village in Magelang. The curug location is still virgin, which means not many people know this area. And if you want to go there, you have to passed small river and forest.

The water still so fresh and clear.

Don't go here alone, go with group because still not many people know this area.

Today's hash track is at Kaponan. Full of trees and nice path.

Hash :: Mount Andong (1) > Magelang ~ Central Java ~ Indonesia

Today's hash route is at Mangli Village, Ngablak-Grabak. And for the long route is hiking Mount Andong. Andong Peak is at 1726 MDPL.

Nowadays, so many people come to hike the mountain. And the villagers, made it become tourists spot.

Where's Mount Andong?
If you come from Magelang, then you go to Kopeng directions. After passed Pakis Village, there's a village name Ngablak. When you arrive at it's market, there's a big gate on the left, then turn left and enter the big gate.

From then, just follow the road until you face T-junction, turn left again. Then, there's another T-junction which looks like "Y", follow the right path. Until you entering a village residence, in the T-junction turn left then you will arrive in the basecamp. The basecampe located at Sawit village, Girirejo. We have to pay the regristation if we want to climb the mountain for IDR 3.000/pax. (based story of http://ngadem.com/wisata-ke-gunung-andong-magelang-hiking-asik-tanpa-bikin-pening/)

Because I went there with group, so I didn't know how much the regristation cost.

The way to the peak start from this basecamp. At first, the path is easy, until you found this sign.

Then walk about 10m and you started to climb. The path is mostly stairs from stone and full of sand. and it's so high (for me).

It's tiring to climb up. But the view is amazing.

This is still in the middle. Still there's about 15 minutes to arrive to the peak. But after struggling, finally I arrives at the peak.

It's another basecamp, and there's so many tent in there. A lot of people stay for the night, to enjoy sunset and sunrise.

Then go further, there's what people call "Geger Sapi / Jembatan Setan". "Geger Sapi" means the top blade of cow. So the mountain just like top blade of cow. There's a curve in the middle of the peak and the path is so narrow. For those who afraid of height, maybe they won't dare to accross it. That's why it's also called "Jembatan Setan" or Devil Bridge.

Mt Andong Peak 1726 MDPL

It's so beautiful. We can see Mt Sumbing and Sindoro, and also Mt Merapi, Mt Merbabu. And we are above the sea cloud. The weather is nice, makes the nature more beautiful.

It's worth to climb for almost 2 hours. It's windy, so if you want to climb here, prepare mask to keep you from dust. And also eyeglasses.

On the way down, it's easier than climb. But we have to extra careful, because it's slippery especially with a lot of dry sand. But it's faster than climb.

It took 2 hours and 20 minutes with 4,03km.

Sri Gethuk Waterfall, Bleberan Village, Gunung Kidul > Yogyakarta ~ Special District of Yogyakarta ~ Indonesia

Another trip to survey place for pre-wedding photos. Departure from 08:00 in the morning, then breakfast at Babi Guling Bima Kroda, after that we go to Playen which before we arrive to Wonosari, turn left. Our first destination is Air Terjun Sri Gethuk or Sri Gethuk Waterfall.

It's a long way to go there. We entering Bleberan Village which cost IDR 2.000/pax. Then just follow the instruction to go to the waterfall.

Arrive at the entrance, we still need to ride car to the parking lot. It tooks almost 20 minutes from the entrance. Car parking fee is IDR 5.000/car.

Then we still need to walk to the waterfall area. In the middle of the path, there's tree-section. If you want to ride boat, then turn left, but if you just want to enjoy the waterfall, turn right. When we came, the river is overflow, so the boat didn't operated. Becareful, because of the overflow, the path is slippery.

It's really crowded maybe because it's Sunday. Too many people in there, I even can't see the waterfall.

Sri Gethuk Waterfall is one of attraction place in Dusun Menggoran, Bleberan Village, Playen - Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. It is located on side of Oya River.

I saw in the picture, we can also Body Rafting. If the water didn't overflow, the water will be green colour and looks fresh.

Hash :: Wonoroto, Windusari > Magelang ~ Central Java ~ Indonesia

Today's hash at Wonoroto. It's near Kalegen, Bandongan. We can see Sumbing Mountain from very close.

Hotel :: Puri Asri Hotel > Magelang ~ Central Java ~ Indonesia

Today, me and my friends visit Puri Asri Hotel Magelang. Because my friend's cousin stay in there, so we can come in.

Usually it's only guest who can come in. Not guest can't entering the hotel area except they have bussiness or attending an event in there.

Puri Asri Hotel is 5 stars hotel in Magelang. It located at JL. CEMPAKA NO. 9 MAGELANG - CENTRAL JAVA, INDONESIA.

The hotel famous because of the nature area. It located near Progo River, one of famous rafting river in Magelang. With full of garden, people who stay in here could enjoy the green of nature and refreshing from the tiring work. Children can play in the playground too. And there's swimming pool and spa.

I have stayed here before, when gathering with my Hakka friends, and also my big family reunion held in here. There's so many activity that we can do in here, like Teklek Race, tug of war, etc.

Soccer Field Tuk Songo, Borobudur > Magelang ~ Central Java ~ Indonesia

Today, me and my friends went to hunting foto. Our first location is Soccer Field Tuk Songo. I have been here many times to hash, but never brought my camera.

There's a big tree in the corner of the field, and it looks creepy.

Pangandaran > West Java ~ Indonesia > Day 03 > 2014 May 17

Day 3 in Pangandaran, We have a sour body because of yesterday's body rafting. That's why we woke up late and missed the sunrise moment.

Today, we plan to explore the Recreation Park and Nature Reserve until the white sand beach then went back by boat. The entrance just right in the left of the hotel. But when we walk to there, there's a local people who rent boat, give us advance to enter the reserve from white sand beach because the difference cost. If we go to the Reserve first then ride the boat, the Reserve entrance ticket will cost IDR 7.000/person. But if we ride the boat first then entering the Reserve, the entrance ticket will cost only IDR 2.000/person.

So, we decided to ride the boat first. At the morning, the sea tide is high, and it reach out the beach. But the waves was so calm.

If you ride the boat at Pangandaran, the boat renter will always give you offer to do some activity, for example watch what inside the middle of sea, go to white sand beach, and also go surround the Reserve to see Japan Cave. My father said, he has gone surround the Reserve to see Japan cave before with his friends, and the wave was too high. Almost 1.5 metres.

We only ride the boat until the white sand beach, which cost IDR 50.000/boat. Then from there, we entering Nature Reserve.

There's so many monkey inside the Nature Reserve. Becareful with your belonging. Don't hold your fist, because it sign if you have any food. And the monkey will come to you to ask for food. Just open your hand, and show the monkey that you didn't have anything.

After walk around 5 minutes, there's a guard that sell the entrance ticket.

You can see the Japan cave inside the Reserve. I found two of them. I don't know how many of them inside there, but I'm sure it's a lot.

There's a bridge inside the Nature Reserve, which connect white sand beach area and Pangandaran beach. We can see the the River Mouth below the bridge.

It's kinday creepy, walking inside the Nature reserve, like walking in wild forest.. XD

After approximately 1 hour, we arrive at the west
entrance near our hotel. There's 2 entrance/exit, west entrance and east enrance. East entrance located near East Beach Pangandaran.

Then we walk back to hotel and prepare to eat lunch. After eat lunch, while on the way back to hotel, we see the fisherman started to pull the fish net. It's so fun to watch them. At first the will ride the boat to the middle of the ocean, to spread the fish net.

I don't know how long will they let the fish net inside the ocean. But after the time determine, they will pull it. At first, the will pull it from the two side.

Then until some point, they will put the fish net together, and pull it together.

After watch how fisherman pull their fish net, then we go back to Hotel. Me and my brother decided to ride Odong-Odong. You can rent it, there's so many of it in here.

We rent the one in front of our hotel.

It's fun, but tiring. 1 hour rent, cost IDR 50.000. We only rent it for 1 hour, because riding it was too tiring XD

After take a rest, then we go to the beach again. We eat coconut and enjoy the scene in the evening.

Then we rent surfboard, and play in the water.

It's fun, and tiring. At first, it's hard to using surfboard, but if you know how to used it, then you can surf smoothly. We really enjoy it.

At 17:00, we back to hotel and preparing for eat dinner.
