Jade Garden Natural Aburetum 제이드가든 수목원 created under the theme of "Small Europe in the Forest," is located near Jade Palace Golf Club on a plot of land measuring 160,000 square meters. The 24 distinctively-themed areas in the garden boast a total of 3,000 plant species including rhododendrons, maple trees, irises, and blueberry bushes as well as patches of thick, natural forests. The arboretum makes the most out of its natural valley topography and presents visitors with a mix of tidy gardens, graceful flowers, and an array of European-style architecture.

For the convenience of guests, Jade Garden operates a Tuscan-style visitor’s center where patrons can enjoy a simple snack or beverage and purchase souvenirs. Visitors may choose from three different walking courses (each 2 hours in length) around the arboretum and a gardening program is also available for aspiring gardeners.

Explore Korean Folk Village 한국민속촌 (5/5) :: Day 03 :: South Korea Winter Escape Trip 6-15 January 2017

It's time for lunch. We are starving. And we decided to go to Market Place. A lot of people eating already.

There's a lot of stall, from 1 to 6, and they sell different menu. You can choose the menu from the picture. Remember the number.

Then, you go to the cashier to order (located beside stall number 6).

For Korean, or if you have a card (I don't know what card), you can use the self order computer beside the cashier, and make payment using your card.

Tell the cashier, what to order, and they will give you queue number according the stall number. For example, mine is no 4 with queue number 4xxx.

Then we go seat, and waiting while aware with stall number 4. Until our number is appear in the screen, then we can go pick up our order in there by use our queue number sheet.

And let's eating.

Price KRW 6.000

The price for the soup is KRW 6.000. Me and Vivi decided to only buy 1 for 2. And we buy 2 portion of rice for @ KRW 1.000. So, we only spend KRW 8.000 for lunch 2 people (KRW 4.000/pax).

After eating, bring back all the dirty plates to it's place. Don't leave it on the table.

Then we go explore Korean Folk Village again.

There's some play ground, a lot of people especially children try the game. And we also passed the frozen river.

We also enter Scholar's Hous. Here we can see all about Joseon Area. Just like when I watch Flying Six Dragon (2016) Korean Drama.

There's also workshop area, here you can try making Korea Traditional Game.

We walk along the river. Then we arrive at the east entrance of Amusement Park. And we decided to enter. We didn't buy the ticket to amusement park, so we can enter but we can't play the game. If you want to play the game, you have to buy ticket to play (there's each category, just see what you want to play).

We decided to looking for the snow sled area. And we have to  buy the ticket at snack factory stall. It cost KRW 3.500/entry.

The snow sled area, located far away inside. Once we enter the area, if we go out, we have to buy ticket again.

This is for adult and child more than 120cm height.

And this sled is for adult + children under 120cm height.

Then we decided to back to Suwon by riding shuttle bus at 16:30.

Baby Playground
On the way back, we passed some baby playground, and also another market village. There's a lot of restaurant in here. We started to get hungry again. My friend suggest us to eat pajeon and drink Makgeolli 막걸리.

Makgeolli(막걸리), also known as makkoliis a slightly sweet alcoholic beverage native to Korea. It is made from rice or wheat mixed with nuruk, a Korean fermentation starter. But, a bottle of Makgeoli is 1 Litre with KRW 8.000. I ask my friend, can he drink it half and more? Because, I'm not sure me and Vivi can drink a lot. And he said, it's better if we looking for another beverages. :D

So we decided to drink hot chocolate in this cafe.

Equestrian Feats - Korean Folk Village 한국민속촌 (4/5) :: Day 03 :: South Korea Winter Escape Trip 6-15 January 2017

The next performance is Equestrian Feats at 12:00. Equestrian Feats is also known as equestrian art because it employs splendid horse-riding techniques such as two swords on horseback, horseback archery, and horseback tumbling. The Equestrian Feats performance at KFV incorporates into its contemporary elaboration the dynamic techniques of the horseback tumbling such as horseback standing, backward riding, reverse riding, and sideways riding.

Also reenacting horseback bow shooting, horseback lance wielding, and horseback swordsmanship, which constitute the essence of Equestrian Feats, the performance demonstrates the spirit of a horse-riding people.

Wow.. It's a great acrobatics. Especially when you ride a horse. They are great and we really enjoy the performance. Then we go to Market Place, to eat lunch.
