What requirements needed for travelling on / after this Pandemic Corona Virus?

It's already May 2020, and almost June 2020 and the corona virus still didn't show any reduction. I won't talk about this corona virus, because I'm not a doctor, and I'm not a scientist so I don't want to talk about false news.

Here, I want to talk about travelling on / after Pandemic Corona Virus.

As far as I knows, some country will open their domestic route soon. The economic situation is on the line in this situation and seems like Corona Virus still didn't show any reduction. So some country decided to go with the flow while protecting people from Corona Virus. A lot of health measuring is a requirements to do all basic life.

From what I see, nowadays if you wants to travel on domestic route in Indonesia especially, you have to provide some documents and doing some screening test in the airport. Especially, when we will celebrate Eid-Al Fitr Season in 24th-25th May 2020.

Still no one allowed to go back home to celebrate, but the flight route is open for those who needed to do some business or for health care.

You have to show the statement why you want to travel, and health certificate, then arrive at Airport at least 4 hours before departure to passed the screening test by doctor.

Different airline has different requirements, but at the airport it's all the same. You have to wear mask, bring your own hand sanitizer and wet tissue, and take care your ownself.

How to Reschedule / Refund Airline Flight Ticketing because of Pandemic Corona Virus (Covid-19)?

From early 2020, in this world appear a virus called Corona Virus which is an infectious disease caused by a new virus that has never been indentified by human.

As a traveller, the tourism industry has a big impact because of this virus. And many traveller make a hard decision to cancel their trip, and many flight company cancelled their flight. This is surely a big impact. I have stop working from February 2020, no one buy flight ticketing, instead they all try to refund their ticket.

So, in here I will inform you how to refund flight ticketing from each flight company. Maybe, not all flight company could be included in here. But mostly is international flight and domestic flight in Indonesia.

Depart to Kuala Lumpur :: Family Trip to Kuala Lumpur - Johor > Malaysia -- Day 1, 5th July 2016

This year, I manage trip to my family and my uncle. We are 8 adults and 1 baby, manage to go together to Malaysia. Our destination is Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru.

With Airasia promotion ticket, we got the cheapest flight ticket from Yogyakarta to Kuala Lumpur.

My little brother and his wife has already started their trip yesterday.

Our flight is at 11:45, but we decided to go to the airport at 07:00. This July, is Lebaran holiday and also School Holiday. We go 1 day before the day, so we are afraid if there's a traffic.

And, we arrived at Yogyakarta at 08:15, and there's no traffic. Maybe we go when it's morning, so people still sleeping haha...

Airasia flight from Yogyakarta, will depart from Terminal B. The location of terminal B at Adisucipto International Airport is about 500m from Terminal A. If you drop by Damri / at Terminal A, you have to walk along the coridor near the arrival hall, then turn left. There's a small path that leading to Terminal B.

If you go there by car / taxi, you can ask the driver to drop-off at Terminal B hall. But you have to pay IDR 4.000 to drop-off only, or if you want to park, then you have to pay IDR 30.000. This is a little expensive, but I heard that with IDR 30.000 you can park all you want to.

The terminal itself is new, and looks nice. There's Airasia (domestic and international), Sriwijaya Air (Domestic), and Silk Air (International).

Because we arrive early, we have to wait until 09:00 to drop-off baggage because the counter will opened 3 hours before departure. Remember, Airasia required self check-in. There's self check-in kiosk in there.

After drop the baggage, we proceed to domestic waiting room. Yes, the imigration is inside the domestic waiting hall. There's some restaurant in there, snack corner and also souvenir shop. Because the imigration open at 11:00, so we wait in there. And, inside the international waiting hall(after you passed the imigration process), there's no restaurant or snack shop, so it's better if we wait at the domestic waiting hall.

There's also Kids corner, which kids can play Lego while waiting for boarding.

Then at 11:00, we go to International Waiting Hall. First we proceed to Imigration, then we enter the waiting hall.

Then at 11:15, we boarding. We should depart at 11:45, but at 11:30, we already depart. And we arrive at KLIA 2, at 14:45, 30 minutes earlier than the determined time (15:15).

After we passed the imigration and get our luggage, we go to Entrance 2. Our driver has already waiting in the parking lot. I just need to call him.

I rent a car with driver from Jalan Jajan Hemat. (How to rent a car with Jalan Jajan Hemat, click here - on process). Our driver is Mr Nazri, and he is really kind.

It took 45 minutes to go to Bukit Bintang. We stay at Hotel Capitol Bukit Bintang. I booked via Agoda because I have Agoda Point. I have stayed in this hotel before and I really like it, near everywhere. And because I brought my parents and my uncle, so I decided to stay in here again. It's a little expensive for backpacker tripper. But for family, I think it's enough.

Then after we put our luggage, we decided to go to dinner first. I want to try Meng Kee Grill Fish, because there's so many people recommended it at internet. We go to Alor Street, it's really near with the Hotel, only walk 5 minutes thourg small path near MRT construction.

Fortunately, there's not many people in Alor Street because I think it's still early. We order 5 meals. We choose medium size, because we are 8 people. You can choose the size according your needed.

and another food, it's vegetables for MYR 15. Total cost MYR 183,38 with rice (MYR 12, 8 portion) and drink (MYR 16, tea) and GST 6%: MYR10,38. The waitress is chinese, and I thought I could speak chinese. But their chinese has dialec and it's hard to understand them. They only could speak Malay a little.

After eating, then we go to Berjaya Times Square to shopping. Around 20:30, we decided to go back to hotel.

Don't forget to bought some mineral water, beside the hotel, there's 7-11 convenient store.

Incheon International Airport > Seoul ~ South Korea > Day 12 (1) - 2014 October 19 (Busan, Gyeongju, Seoul, Daegwallyeong, Nami Island, Mt Seorak, Kuala Lumpur)

Wake up at 4 o'clock then ride taxi to bus station at 5 o'clock because the airport bus schedule is on 05.50. We decided to ride taxi because our luggage. And it only took 5 minutes. The bus has already in there and it cost W10.000/pax to Incheon International Airport.

The road take 1 hours. After we arrive in there, we proceed to tax refund counter. It's easy. Just go to the counter to check your shopping that wants to refund, don't forget, don't put your buying staff inside the luggage first. So after you got a stemple, then you proceed to the refund self-counter. Scan your passport, and your receipt, then the computer will tell you how much will you got.

If you didn't understand how to do this, ask the staff. They will help you.

Prepare much time before boarding.

After that, we put our buying things to our luggage, and proceed to check-in.

After that we go to subway station to refun our card which happened that we could refund at convenient store. And that's our mistake. The subway station is so far away from international departure and we waste time in there.

After that we eat breakfast on the 2nd floor of International Departure.

We passed Everysing SMent Shop.

Then there's a lot of restaurant and food court. We eat the food court. You can order on the cashier, then you will got a number. Just wait until they call your number and you can take your order.
This is also one of our mistake. It tooks time, and we didn't realize what time is it now. So we just eat and enjoy our waiting. We thought that it's still a long wait.

Then we proceed to imigrations, and take our money on refund counter. After that, we need to ride the monorail to our waiting room.

Out from monorail, when we ride the escalator, we heard a calling, Airasia to Kuala Lumpur. That's when we realize, it's only 5 minutes before departure time. OMG~~~ 5 minutes before departure time and not boarding time. I make a quick react to scream "It's us..." Then they ask us to run. Fortunately, we have prepared our boarding pass so we directly boarding.

We sit in the back, and so many people saw us haha.. It's embarrased.

Next time, If we wants to roaming around the airport, we have to come earlier. It's our mistake because we didn't predict the time too.
I never experienced this things, and this is my first time and hopefully my last time. I didn't want to risk to missed the flight.

Kuala Lumpur - Busan > Busan, South Korea > Day 02 (1) - 2014 October 09 (Busan, Gyeongju, Seoul, Daegwallyeong, Nami Island, Mt Seorak, Kuala Lumpur)

We took airport shuttle to KLIA2 at 06:00. A lot of people go there too. The hotel provided 2 MVP car.

Once arrive at KLIA2, we drop our baggage at U-V Counter. Only one destination in this counter, Busan (South Korea), and because this is extra large plane, which there's 3-3-3 seat, so a lot of people queue to check-in/drop baggage.

After drop our baggage, we entering the imigration and have a chance to walk around boarding gate. Then we wait for boarding at waiting room.

At 08:00, we boarding and depart at 08:30.

We bought Airasia Meal because the long journey and it's lunch time. I bought Uncle Chin's Chicken Rice (Hainanese) and also hot milo.

The air conditionair inside the plane is really cold. But fortunately, I have prepared the thick jacket because it's autumn in South Korea, and it will a little bit chill.

The journey take approximately 6 hours 15 minutes and South Korea time is 1 hour later than Kuala Lumpur. So we arrive at Gimhae International Airport Busan at 15:45. The airport not too big.

Our friend pick us at Airport. Then we go to hotel by Subway. We stay at Elysee Motel Busan, just in the centre city of Busan.

The Journey Begin > Day 01 (1) - 2014 October 08 (Busan, Gyeongju, Seoul, Daegwallyeong, Nami Island, Mt Seorak, Kuala Lumpur)

Today is it. My journey to South Korea for 13th days. Ticket: Check, Hotel Voucher: Check, so time to start our journey.

At 13:15, we depart from Magelang. My friend's parents take us to Adisucipto International Airport Yogyakarta. We eat lunch at Blabak Ayam Goreng Special.

At 14:45 we arrive at Adisucipto International Airport. Luckily, the baggage drop counter didn't have any people, so we can directly put drop our luggage and document checked.

Then we decided to killing-time at Cafe. The restaurant and cafe's price at Airport is really expensive.

At 16:00 we enter imigration and wait for boarding at Waiting Room.
At 16:55 boarding and at 17:20 we depart.

The flight from Yogyakarta to Kuala Lumpur, take 2 hours and 35 minutes. But because the difference time between Yogyakarta and Kuala Lumpur which Kuala Lumpur 1 hours later than Yogyakarta, so we arrive at Kuala Lumpur at 20:40. We got sunset in the plane.

Airasia terminal at Kuala Lumpur move from LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) to KLIA2, which more large and comfortable. You can spend time by shopping. So many shop in there.

From arrival gate to imigration, it took almost 20-30 minutes walking. It's so big airport. Even the baggage, need some time to arrive at the baggage claimed. We almost spend 1.5 hours to get out from the arrival. By the time we come out, it's already 21:45 local time. I bought ramen at Ramen Ten restaurant for supper at Hotel. Then we wait for the hotel airport pick-up at 22:00 in frong of Old Town White Coffe (just right outside of the arrival gate).

Tonight, we stay at YouniQ Hotel Sepang.

2014 April - Buy the Flight Ticket to South Korea

At the last week of April 2014, Airasia give promo for fly period 18 Aug 2014 to 30 Apr 2015. So this time, I decided to bought the ticket for my plan to go to South Korea. Even the ticket price was a promo ticket, but I thought, that's not the cheapest ticket too. But it's okay, because I don't know when will there is a promo again.

There's no direct flight from Yogyakarta, so I bought Yogyakarta to Kuala Lumpur round trip, and also Kuala Lumpur to Busan and Seoul (Incheon) to Kuala Lumpur.

I decided to went to Busan first for 3 nights, then go to Seoul and back from Seoul (Incheon). I plan to went with one of my best friend. And at Seoul we will meet my other friends who only go to Seoul.

When do I plan to go? It's a secret.. Teehee... XD

Don Mueang International Airport > Bangkok ~ Thailand < 2013 August 14 > (Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Kuala Lumpur)

Wake up so early in the morning, because 06:00 have to go to Airport to go back to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We rent a car from hotel for 5 people + luggage.

It cost 1400 Baht with car for 7 people.

Then we go to Don Mueang International Airport. Airasia is a low cost carrier flight, so at Bangkok, Airasia is at Don Mueang International Airport Terminal.

Yuanjiajie Park > FengHuang--ZhangJiaJie--ChengDu--JiuZhaiGou Day 06 - 22th August 2012 > China

At 08:00 we walk to Yuanjiajie Park.

Then after eating lunch, we go to Baofeng Lake and ride boat in there.

Then we go to sand gallery picture.

After eat dinner, we go to airport to take flight to Chengdu at 23:30. But we got delayed to 01:00.

Stranded at Hongkong > FengHuang--ZhangJiaJie--ChengDu--JiuZhaiGou Day 02 - 18th August 2012 > China

Arrive at Hongkong at 09:20, we surely missed the flight. A lot of people missed their flight, for example those who has continue flight to Seoul. But they are a big group, almost 30 people. So, the plane is waiting for them. We are  only 8 people T___T

Once entering the waiting hall, the staff from Cathay has already call us "Changsa.. Changsa.." and then they take us to the nearest transit hall and give us 2 option.

1. Stay at Hongkong, then go to Changsa with next day flight (they already hold the ticket).

2. Continue the journey, but they will re-route our route. We will first go to Hangzhou with Dragon Air at 12:25-14:40, then continue to Changsa with local flight at 15:40-17:05.

We choose the 2nd option, because surely we can't do anything in Hongkong, so it's better if we today arrive at Changsa.

They give us lunch voucher at Hongkong International Airport.

Then after eating lunch, we go to waiting hall.

And you know what, the flight got delayed again. We depart from Hongkong 13:00 and arrive at Hangzhou at 15:30, so we missed the flight to Changsa again. Haha...

Arrive at Hangzhou, the staff from Cathay Pasific has already waiting for us. They assist us to domestic terminal, then give us the flight ticket to Changsa at 23:30 and give us afternoon tea voucher for 90 RMB.

We eat dinner at Kungfu Restaurant then waiting for check-in counter to open at 20:30.

Then at 23:30 we depart to Changsa, and arrive at 01:15. We got a business class at Eastern China Airlines.

Our local guide has already waiting for us at Changsa. And he take us to Xiang Rong Hotel to rest.

It's really a long journey to start a trip. haha.. But, will always remember this memory.

From Jakarta to Changsha by Cathay Pasific > FengHuang--ZhangJiaJie--ChengDu--JiuZhaiGou Day 01 - 17th August 2012 > China

This trip is organized by my cousin's friends and my cousin as the tour leader.

Fenghuang - Zhangjiajie - Chengdu - Jiuzhaigou trip for 10th days, organized by Lumba-Lumba Tour & Travel Surabaya, with cost USD 2.980/pax (depart from Jakarta) by Cathay Pasific.

The additional cost:

- Visa: IDR 590.000/pax

- Jakarta International Airporttax: IDR 150.000/pax

The price is high because it's high season in Indonesia.

At 13:00, we depart using Damri Shuttle from Hotel Wisata to Adisucipto International Airport. It cost IDR 35.000/pax.

At 14:18 we arrive at Adisucipto International Airport Yogyakarta then proceed to check-in counter. 

We are flying with Garuda from Yogyakarta (JOG) to Jakarta (CGK).  Our flight is at 17:15-18:15 with rate IDR 505.000/pax. We arrived at airport too early, but because it's Indonesia Big Holiday, we affraid if there's a traffic. So it's better to go early than missing flight.

There's a delay, we depart at 18:20, and arrive at Jakarta at 19:35. Then we go to International Departure to check our flight and we still can't check-in yet.

Then, my other cousin that stay at Jakarta, take us to eat dinner at Smokey Ribs at PIK Jakarta.

At 23:00 we arrive at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2 again, and when we check the flight time, there's a notice that our flight to Changsa will depart at 4 o'clock. Actually, our flight time should be at 23:55 around that time. But earlier we got notice via sms that it's already delay 2 hours become 13:55. And now delay again 2 hours become 15:55. 

We heard that there's a big hurricane at Hongkong and surround and it makes our plane depart late from Hongkong to Jakarta. Not only our plane, but all of the plane got a delayed.

And the big problem is, we should arrive in Hongkong at 05:20. Then continue our flight at 09:15. But because this delayed problem, we will arrive in Hongkong at 09:20 which means we will missed our flight. The staff at counter check-in help us to call Hongkong Airport and she said, the staff at Hongkong Airport will give us option when we arrived there.

Then at 15:55, we depart to Hongkong. This is the longest departure, we spend almost 33 hours to depart haha..

Arrived at Chengdu then ride bus to Jiuzhaigou # Sichuan - China

We arrived at Chengdu at midnight. Then we check-in to Hotel. We only sleep for few hours, then in the morning, wake up then eat breakfast then ride bus to Jiuzhaigou. It took approximately 11 hours journey.

We, 18 people, plus 3 Koren friends and the guide. Feels the bus is us, so we can call is our private tour.

The weater is cool at Chengdu, because it's early spring. We passed the river, mountain and cliff.

At first, we still can see river and the green tree.

As time goes by, we going uphill and it become colder. We can see snow in the peak.

It's cold but beautiful. Around the road was cliff. So the driver has to be extra careful. It's slippery too because of snow.

Finally we arrived at Jiuzhaigou. We eat dinner at one of Jiuzhaigou People's house while enjoy their singing and dancing. The famous food in here is lamb meat 羊肉 and Yak Meat (kind of cow) 牛肉 with famous spicy powder, Mala 麻辣 from Sichuan..

Then they teach us to dance. We all follow the dance and wear some local costume. It's fun, especially I went there with my best friends.

After that, we back to hotel to take a rest.
