Tteoksom Resort Station :: Day 05 :: South Korea Winter Escape Trip 6-15 January 2017

Arrive at Hapjeong Station, we go to Tteokseom Resort Station. There's a small amusement park and sledding hill on winter. So we decided to drop by.

Ttukseom Resort Station (뚝섬유원지역) is a rapid transit station on Seoul Subway Line 7. It is located in Noyu-dong in the Gwangjin-gu administrative district of Seoul. It is the only station in South Korea to be located on the underside of a bridge, beneath Cheongdam Bridge. The station also runs underneath a highway with two exits being south of the highway and two north. The south exits serve Ttukseom Resort while the north exits serve Noyu-dong which is administered by and consists of Jayang 3-dong and Jayang 4-dong which contain some residential towers with small shops and other mixed commercial and residential areas. The station is serviced by a single bus route which is located at exit 4. Before Line 7 opened the station was known as Jayang Station (자양역).

Tteokseom Resort Station, is also where Tteokseom Hangang Park 한강시민공원 뚝섬지구(뚝섬한강공원) located.

Ttukseom Hangang Park was a famous resort site even before its rebirth as part of the greater Hangang Park. The park consists of various amenities: music fountains, a riverside square, a rose garden, playground, and a nature learning center.

Overlooking Hangang River, the Riverside Square is the venue for a diversity of cultural events and performances. Using a technology in which light is bounced off the water, the 'water screen' (installed on the main stage in the square) shows movies or cartoons from 20:00 to 22:00 during the holidays.

The park boasts an exquisite cultural complex called Jabeolle (J-Bug), offering plenty of art and rest facilities as well as a magnificent view of the Hangang River. Conveniently located near Ttukseom Resort Station, Jabeolle houses a café, tea house, and gift shop, as well as exhibitions by media artists.

Ttukseom Hangang Park is open all year round and has a variety of attractions that change with each season. During the summer months, visitors can enjoy the thrill of windsurfing, waterskiing, and motor boating. In the spring and fall, the park has a number of seasonal flower exhibitions. In winter, sledding and skating await.

In addition, the park offers facilities for X-Games, artificial rock climbing, cruise ships, a Saturday Flea Market, a nursing mothers’ rooms, and women's lounges, making it a popular place for Seoul citizens.

On Winter, there's Sledding Hill.

The ticket entrance  is KRW 6.000. And we also try the 4D for KRW 4.000. A lot of children play in there and the scene of Han River is beautiful. Especially in winter.

This is Nanshan Ski Resort:

There's a cafetaria in there, so we can eat lunch easily. We spend almost 4-6 hours and so tired. I drop so many times because can't balance my ski and all of my body feel sore. But it's fun.

my First Snow in Beijing - China

It's been 2 days, and my roommate hasn't come yet. I just hope that she is kind and nice person.
When I woke up, seems like the morning darker than before. And guess why? It's snowing. It's my first snow during my life. And it's beautiful, and also cold.. haha..

I saw it from my terrace room, and it's sooo cold. My room facing the north gate of UIBE, and in the photo was the view of building in the north gate.

I still don't have any winter clothes, only scarf and usual jacket. So It's really cold. I go to Nit & Vi's room then we walk around the campus, and took some photos.

Then when lunch time, we ate lunch together with others. Today, was cap go meh, the 15th day of the first month in Chinese Lunas Year, and the end of celebration of Chinese Lunar Year. It also called Lantern Festival 元宵节 *yuanxiaojie*. And also one of my Beijing friend's birthday, so he treated us lunch.

When I'm back from lunch, my roommate, Gloria, has already inside our room with her parents. She is from USA, but she's Vietnamese. They are very kind, and nice. They can speak Chinese, and my roommate can speak a bit Chinese. So we decided that everyday we will speak Chinese. She will stay with her parents at the hotel for a few days, so I will be alone again for a while.
