Soto Kadipiro > Yogyakarta ~ Special District of Yogyakarta ~ Indonesia

Soto is one of an Indonesian Dish, a traditional soup mainly composed by broth, meat, and vegetables.

Soto is a common dish, and served in wide range of variations from Sumatra fot Papua. Available in many an open-air eateries and many street corners to fine dining restaurants and luxurious hotels. The famous Soto variations is Soto Ayam (Chicken Soto), which considered as Indonesian counterpart of Chicken Soup because always served warm with tender texture. Each region in Indonesia has its own recipe of Soto.

Soto Kadipiro, is one of famous Soto restaurant in Indonesia, especially in Yogyakarta. It formed from 1921, located in Jalan Wates (Wates Road). It has many branch, but the first one is located in the north of Wates road (Soto Kadipiro I). Open from 08:00 until sold. It’s better if you come in the morning, because it’s fast sold.

It taste light, but tasteful because it made from chicken broth, and it containts of chicken, tauge, and cabbage, sprinkled by fried onion. You can eat it with rice or not. And there’s other additional food such as tempe, tofu, ati ampela, and meatball.
