Pangandaran > West Java ~ Indonesia > Day 01 > 2014 May 15

Today, I went to Pangandaran Beach with my family. We went there by car. We departed at 06:30 from Magelang. Usually it took 5 to 6 hours if no traffic.

We passed Purworejo city. We decided to follow short cut path. And it wrong choice. The road was wavy, and we have to drive slow. 

Then we passed Kutoarjo - Prembun - Kebumen - Karanganyar - Gombong - Sumpiuh - Buntu - Jatilawang - Wangon. We went to Bandung direction.

Once we arrive at Wangon, we turn left. Then we turn right to Jeruk Legi. Usually, the road was bad and not wide, but seems like they have re-build the road. It's bigger and no waving. A lot of new stan nearby.

Then we arrived at Kawunganten. The road was broken. We have to move slow. 

Then we passed Gandrungwangu, and Sidareja. We decided to eat lunch at Sidareja. It's 12 o'clock at noon. We eat fried chicken at Tojoyo. We usually eat here when we went to Pangandaran. It's been 2 years I didn't went here. Usually, every year we went here.

After took lunch, we continue the journey. We passed Karangpucung. The road was bad. But almost the end of regency, the road was good. Then we arried at Pangandaran.

We stay at Aquarium Hotel. We have been numerous time stay here. The hotel was under renovation, so all the facility was not used. And also the familysuite that we booked, was bad. Everything was not in control.

After unpacking our stuff, we go for walk at the beach. But suddenly, it's raining. Then we went back to hotel. At 16:00 we went to the beach again, this time we play in the water. Before 17:00 O went back to the room for take a bath.

After that, we eat dinner. We have our favourite restaurant: Risma Fresh Seafood Restaurant. We can choose the fresh seafood.

We order:

- Shrimp with Oyster Sauce

- Roasted Shrimp

- Fried Pomfret

- Shimping with Oyster Sauce

Then we went shopping at Lina Collections.

But I feel tired, so I went back to hotel first.

Time to sleep, tomorrow will woke up early for sunrise. Good night.. 

2014 May - Booking Hotel in South Korea

Agoda and one of bank in Indonesia held a promotion, so I decided to booked the hotel. I booked the hotel in Busan and Seoul, because I only stay at those 2 city.

I got not too expensive price.

The hotel in Busan, just renovated. And once I booked the hotel via Agoda, the owner gave me email, that told me how to go there. And the renovated hotel looks nicer.

I have already booked the hotel in Seoul once I got the flight ticket. I booked it directly to the hotel, because some of my friends already booked it before. So I just make addition booked. And fortunately, they stil have vacancy bed. I booked dorm room. :) It's cheaper.

And because some of my friends will be back early than me, so I decided I move to other hotel in the last day. And I have already booked it via agoda using the promotion.

Now just counting the days and prepare for the itinery.. :)

Kuwaru Beach at Bantul > Yogyakarta ~ Special District of Yogyakarta ~ Indonesia

From Tickles Cafe and Resto, we continue to Kuwaru Beach which located at Bantul. My brother said, there's a way which made by tree that make this Kuwaru Beach special. But when we get there, the path was gone because of abrasion.

But still there's so many tree in there which make this beach special.

There's two kind of beach, the old one and the new one. We went to the old one.

The sun is set when we got there.. It's beautiful.. :)

From Taman Sari Watercastle, we went to Tickles Cafe and Resto. A cafe with British style, very suitable for those who love classic and vintage.

We didn't eat here. But we buy some snacks and ice tea.

Taman Sari Watercastle (2) > Yogyakarta ~ Special District of Yogyakarta ~ Indonesia

Today, I went to Taman Sari Watercastle, as assistant for my brother's job, pre-wedding photoshoot. Usually, we can use the place early than opening time, but this time, the staff said because the change of management, they open from 09:00 and no less. So when we got there, it's 07:00, they didn't open yet. Even the Sumur part also didn't open yet. So we went to the ruin part, which open from 06:00.

This is my 2nd time go here, and this ruin part is my first time entering here. When I came here for the first time, I didn't entering the place, only waiting in front of gate.

Then at 09:00, we went to the Sumur part.

We didn't entering the watercastle because the limited time. We tought that we can entering Taman Sari before opening time. So we decided to move for the next scene.

Culinary :: Holycow! Steak House Camp > Yogyakarta ~ Special District of Yogyakarta ~ Indonesia

This time, we try Holycow! Steak House Camp at Yogyakarta. It located inside Grand Aston Hotel. The place was cozy, and suitable for family.

The dessert, we eat before the main course. The taste is sour, but fresh.

Unique Pizza, with Rendang Taste. A little spicy, but delicious.

my Main Course, it's tender, and easy to eat. The sauce is tasty.

The price was average for steak house. Not too expensive, but not cheap either.

With Friends > Yogyakarta ~ Special District of Yogyakarta ~ Indonesia

Today, I went to Yogya with friends. We depart from Magelang at 09:30. Then arrived at Yogya at 10:30, and decided to eat lunch first. One of my friends suggest to try Mediterranea Restaurant, located at Jl. Tirtodipuran no. 24 A, Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta. The restaurant interior, just like its name, Mediterranea. We feel comfy inside, and we choose room with AC because it's hot outside.

The restaurant just open, so we are the first guest today.

As information, if you order the special menu of the day, then if you order Ice Tea for your drink, you will get the ice tea for free.

After lunch, we went to Textile Store. One of my friends need to buy some material for dance performance costume.

At 14:30, we went to Empire XXI Theatre. I already bought the ticket of Spiderman 2 at 15:05 for 4 people. Today also the first day the Spiderman 2 premiering. At first, we want to watch Captain America, but one of my friends has already watched it. So we watch Spiderman 2.

After the movie ended, it's already 17:00 o'clock. So we decided to eat dinner. I suggest them to eat Gongso. It located at Babarsari, Yogyakarta, near my campus university. This was a place of memory for me. I often eat here while I'm study my bachelor degree. It's just like mixed chicken and eggs, with soysauce. And we eat it with rice.

After eat dinner, we went to Ambarukmo Plaza for eye shopping. My friends bought some clothes. At 20:00, we went home.

2014 April - Buy the Flight Ticket to South Korea

At the last week of April 2014, Airasia give promo for fly period 18 Aug 2014 to 30 Apr 2015. So this time, I decided to bought the ticket for my plan to go to South Korea. Even the ticket price was a promo ticket, but I thought, that's not the cheapest ticket too. But it's okay, because I don't know when will there is a promo again.

There's no direct flight from Yogyakarta, so I bought Yogyakarta to Kuala Lumpur round trip, and also Kuala Lumpur to Busan and Seoul (Incheon) to Kuala Lumpur.

I decided to went to Busan first for 3 nights, then go to Seoul and back from Seoul (Incheon). I plan to went with one of my best friend. And at Seoul we will meet my other friends who only go to Seoul.

When do I plan to go? It's a secret.. Teehee... XD

2014 KGSP-G - The 1st Result of Sookmyung Interview

Ms Kim said, there will be a bit delay from 9th April to 24th April. But today, in the morning, I got an email.

She said, that unfortunately, I didn't nominated because the number of students from Indonesia that can be nominated is limited. But I passed the interview, and she offer me "Special Scholarship of International Students".

I feel relieved once the result came out. Even I have not been nominated, but it's okay. It's an experience to apply such a great scholarship. That's give me another challenge and experience.

So, time to move on. Let's move to next target...
